Youth Director
My name is Kevin Anderson and I am the new Youth Director at Acton UMC. I majored in Exercise Sports Science with a minor in English at Texas Tech. I love acting like a kid and playing games as much as possible, and I also know there is a time to be serious. I was raised in Lubbock and have helped with various Youth Groups in the Lubbock, Houston, and Dallas areas.
I love playing anything that is competitive, whether that is video games or playing sports. I like to call myself a golfer but sometimes I wonder if that is an insult to the game of golf. (in other words some days are better than others) I have been married to my wife Kathy for just over a year now. We are excited about our move to Granbury and are currently looking for a house.

Assistant Youth Pastor
Hi! My name is Katie Slaten. I am the assistant youth pastor at Acton UMC. I am a religion pre-seminary major at Texas Wesleyan University. I am still a youth at heart and remember what it’s like to be there. My passion is helping these youth with their relationship with God and his love for them.
I grew up in Georgetown (the real G-town), Texas. (This is near the Austin area). This is where the rest of my family lives. I am currently studying to become a United Methodist pastor.
