Youth Director

Kevin Anderson

My name is Kevin Anderson and I am the new Youth Director at Acton UMC.  I majored in Exercise Sports Science with a minor in English at Texas Tech.  I was raised in Lubbock and have helped with various Youth groups in the Lubbock, Houston, and Dallas areas.  I believe that it is the job of everyone who works with Youth to nurture them as Disciples so they have a firm foundation of faith as they grow.

I love playing anything that is competitive, whether that is video games or playing sports. I like to call myself a golfer but sometimes I wonder if that is an insult to the game of golf. (in other words some days are better than others) My wife and I have been married for just over two years and have a son named Carson who is just over a year old and is changing everyday.

My name is Kathryn Gaarz and I am a junior in communication studies.  I have experience working with youth in cleburne, glen lake summer camp, and ctcym summer mission trips.  I look forward to meting all of you and becoming an active member in the congregation at acton united methodist.
